چکیده

The axion provides a solution for the strong CP problem and is one of leading candidates dark matter. This paper proposes an detection scheme based on quantum nondemolition magnon, i.e., quanta collective spin excitations in solid, which expected to be excited by axion-electron interaction predicted Dine-Fischer-Srednicki-Zhitnitsky (DFSZ) model. prototype detector composed ferrimagnetic sphere as electronic target superconducting qubit. Quantum nondemolition detection of a propagating microwave photon.

The ability to nondestructively detect the presence of a single, traveling photon has been a long-standing goal in optics, with applications in quantum information and measurement. Realizing such a detector is complicated by the fact that photon-photon interactions are typically very weak. At microwave frequencies, very strong effective photon-photon interactions in a waveguide have recently be...

Axion search with optical technique

A brief review of particle physics motivations for axion existence is followed by a discussion of optical observables that can be used for axion detection. It is emphasised that the resonant photon axion transition can occur in the presence of low density gas bringing the experimentally accessible quantities within the reach of the present day technology. High-fidelity adaptive qubit detection through repetitive quantum nondemolition measurements.

Using two trapped ion species ((27)Al(+) and (9)Be(+)) as primary and ancillary quantum systems, we implement qubit measurements based on the repetitive transfer of information and quantum nondemolition detection. The repetition provides a natural mechanism for an adaptive measurement strategy, which leads to exponentially lower error rates compared to using a fixed number of detection cycles. ...

Quantum Giant Magnons

The giant magnons are classical solitons of the O(N) sigma-model, which play an important role in the AdS/CFT correspondence. We study quantum giant magnons first at large N and then exactly using Bethe Ansatz, where giant magnons can be interpreted as holes in the Fermi sea. We also identify a solvable limit of Bethe Ansatz in which it describes a weakly-interacting Bose gas at zero temperatur...

Quantum Nondemolition Monitoring of Universal Quantum Computers

It is proved that the halt scheme for a universal quantum computer originally proposed by Deutsch works without spoiling the computation. The “conflict” pointed out recently by Myers in the defintion of a universal quantum computer is shown to be only apparent. In the context of quantum nondemolition (QND) measurement, it is also shown that the output observable, an observable representing the ...
